Over here at ABIT Stitches, WE LIKE ROYS! All the Roys. Roy Kent, Roy Orbison, Roy Rogers, Roy... Are there more Roys?
If you've seen Apple TV's hit comedy series Ted Lasso, you're obviously a fan of foul-mouthed dream boat footballer, Roy Kent played by Brett Goldstein. And if you're not, F$*% you!
I asked Roy Reed to whip up this stitch based on the genius Roy Kent Venn diagram meme created by Keegan O'Shea. It was a Christmas gift for my husband who channels Roy Kent (and sometimes Roy Reed) when he's having a particularly bad day - and even when he's not!
We loved it so much that we reached out to Keegan who gamely gave us his blessing to sell the pattern for the design. One hundred per cent of profits will be donated to UK-Charity Letters to Santa (which you'll remember from Ted Lasso Season 2 episode "Carol of the Bells") and The CHUM Christmas Wish in Toronto, Canada. Both charities provide Christmas gifts to under-privileged children.
The third and final season of Ted Lasso premieres March 15th!
"Roy Kent: He's Here, He's There, He's Every-fucking-where" pattern measures 7" x 6.8" and is categorized as "Advanced" on the ABIT difficulty scale due to it's dense stitching. It requires an 11" x 11" piece of 14ct Aida cloth and an 8" x 8" frame.
The PDF includes 3 unique colour patterns and 2 strand floss estimates.
This pattern is NOT included in "ABIT Stitches: 30 Snarcastic Stitches for You to Stab."
